Rolling Hills Ag SocietyThe Rolling Hills Ag Society is the main agency for distribution of provincial operating and maintenance funding to community facilities and is mandated to promote and assist agriculturally-related activities in the Rolling Hills area.
The Ag Society participates in a summer employment program that hires local individuals to maintain and care for community facilities, operates and maintains the ice arena, and administers numerous local funding programs that all combine to enhance and make our community thrive. A main fund-raiser for the Ag Society is the annual Giant Pumpkin Growing Contest in conjunction with the Pumpkin Growers Ball held in October. The Ag Society also operates the Community Cookies program which is an annual initiative that produces frozen cookie and muffin dough for sale to surrounding clubs and organizations seeking fund raising opportunities. Revenue from the Community Cookies initiative is distributed to community groups based on an annual application process. All area residents are members of the Ag Society and numerous opportunities exist for individuals to become involved in its activities. Community Cookie contact - Debbie Daniels 403-964-3939 |
