Rolling Hills Community Centre
The Rolling Hills Community Centre is one of the largest, most fully equipped facilities in the area. It is available for use by residents and non-residents alike, hosting a wide range of activities and events.
The building is composed of a main hall area completely outfitted with upholstered chairs, a selection of round and rectangular tables, self-contained wet bar, large curtained stage, hardwood floor, and air-conditioned climate control. This area can handle groups of 400 people in comfort and is easily configured to accommodate multi-activity events with a range of layout options available.
A choice of fluorescent or dim-able incandescent lighting enables users to adjust overall lighting to their particular needs. A large, professionally painted rear wall is the perfect photo friendly background for group photography.
A medium sized, climate controlled meeting room, equipped with wet bar and seating for 70 people, is available for smaller events. Complete with its own bathroom facilities and entrance, it can allow complete separation from other activity in the building. As well, the lobby area adjacent to the meeting room offers a spacious location for displays, food services, or additional seating.
A large central kitchen facility with two commercial-style gas ranges, high capacity commercial dishwashers, commercial mixing machine and dishes and utensils, make food preparation and serving as convenient as possible. Both gas ranges have top burners as well as dedicated grills and easily accommodate multiple types of preparation without interference. The kitchen area is set up to deliver food or concession services to the main hall and meeting room lobby area, either separately or in combination. The kitchen is equipped to handle full service as well as buffet style food delivery and accessories include warming and serving carts and a two-person meat carving station that can handle large crowds in an efficient manner.
The main hall area has all the required accessories to create a respectful setting for religious services and funerals. The facility has accommodated over 600 people in a seating-only arrangement.
A 100' square foot capacity, walk-in cooler/freezer is located in the main hall area, close to a side access door and makes storage of large volumes of food and beverages exceptionally convenient.
Also available is a multimedia presentation centre that features controlled audio to all areas of the building. The media system is capable of delivering quality graphics and video to a remote- controlled nine foot drop-down screen next to the stage. Excellent quality audio is delivered through ceiling-mounted speakers that allow all areas to receive balanced, no feedback sound. Currently, audio and video input is either laptop computer, mobile device, DVD, or CD. Voice input is available by way of wired or wireless microphone and a podium is supplied to facilitate presentations. A selection of cables and adapters, along with technical advice, is available to assist with connection. Due to ever changing technology, users should contact the facility well ahead of their event to determine compatibility with their particular device.
The Community Centre is located adjacent to the Rolling Hills Campground and across the highway from the Rolling Hills Arena. Check the arena and campground pages for information on those facilities.
